Chriss relocated to her hometown in Chetek, Wis. and accepted an invitation to speak to
the Lions Club. She shared not only pieces
of her life with Stephen, but how their
experiences together prepared her to share in the lives and stories of those who served at
Ground Zero following the Sept. 11 attacks.

As you can see Stephen is always close,
both in Chriss's heart and in the presence
of Stephen's little red shoes.

The work of Stephens Hope:

· advocating for and ministering to families affected with disabilities;
· publishing the stories of our lives to build a bridge of understanding and sharing the hope that lives in our families;
· offering congressional testimony and taking our stories to the people who can change the laws which affect all of us;
· reaching out to the community through educational programs;
·
challenging the perception of value

Is built upon the generosity of our donors all over the world and all contributions, large or small, regular or occasional, go towards helping us make a difference in the lives of children's and families.

Remember, one day a mother went to Congress and changed the hearts of the people she met. Everyone told Chriss there was was no way one person could make a difference, but one life can make a difference. By sharing her story, by helping our leaders see the real lives of families and children affected by disabilities, doors were opened and they remain open.

   · support the OUTREACH efforts of Stephen's Hope; (paypal)

Many organizations are unable to financially afford bringing a speaker of Chriss's renown to their community. Hope and opportunity should not be dependent upon financial ability. Stephen's Hope provides these organizations with the opportunity to hear the message of hope and healing, and practical lessons about caring for children with disabilities that Chriss Nelson brings.

Advocating for families requires that Chriss travel to the places where families and those who are making decision about their well-being are located. Your funds can support this effort.
